Selene Lentini

Selene Lentini graduated in foreign languages and literature - German and Norwegian- , with the discussion of a thesis with an anthropological slant. An experience in the Italian Army allowed her to develop her curiosity about the security sector and to become interested in psychological operations. She managed to develop these interests changing her university career and obtaining her master’s degree in international relations - international politics and regional dynamics at the University of Milan. She presented a dissertation concerning psychological operations focused on proving the necessity of a new approach to Psyops, more rooted and integrated both vertically and horizontally, and considering this type of operations a game changer in the current scenario dominated by hybrid threats and gray zone warfare. During her studies she cultivated her interest in intelligence and security working as travel security analyst in a company in Milan. Her path developed thanks to an internship at the NCIA, Nato Communication and Information Agency, that led her to the Corporate Security sector, where she works as consultant.

She considers the communication with all its facets the “fil rouge” of her university and career path, fundamental in all the sectors and levels of security and intelligence, but not only in this field. Aware of the power and pervasiveness of communication and of the social networks, she hopes to exploit them as best as possible to express all the potential of Mondo Internazionale, where she is the Deputy Director of Communication. The will to empower the youth and develop their talents, to create a wider debate and to build bridges between cultures are the values that guide the Association and that made her decide to join the Association and to dedicate herself with energy and passion to her role in Mondo Internazionale.
