Margherita Camurri

Margherita Camurri studies International Development at Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs, with a specialization in Environment and Project Management.

Born in Milan, she graduated from a linguistic high school, studying English, Spanish and Chinese. Then, she got a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Affairs at the Catholic University of Sacred Hearth, with a thesis titled “Geopolitics of Water in India and Pakistan: Ongoing Challenges over the Indus River”.

Her main research topics and interests are sustainable development, rural development, food and water security, and environmental security.

Her passion for research led her to join Mondo Internazionale G.E.O., where she holds the position of Head Research in the Environment, Climate and Energy team.

With Mondo Internazionale G.E.O., she participated in a call for papers for the 2021 World Food Forum and, in 2022, she contributed to the drafting of an analysis for IFAD’s conference Bridging the Gap between Research and Policy Conference.

In her spare time, Margherita loves sports, travelling, reading, and volunteering. Indeed, she is currently also the coordinator of the team dedicated to women at Sciences Po Refugee Help association.
