Marcello Alberizzi

Doctor in International Relations, with a focus on regional dynamics and theoretical aspects, he currently holds the position of Internship Assistant at IES Abroad Milano, a Chicago-based Foundation that promotes international study and internship programs for American students. 

Within Mondo Internazionale, he is the author for the Projects Framing the World, in which he writes on the African continent, and Sustainable Life, in which he contributes to the realization of the MiAmbiento project. In the past, he also has been General Director, from January 2018 to March 2020. 

His highest objective is to contribute to the development of the diplomatic component of the European policy, the European External Action Service. This passion stems from the internship experience he had at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union during the spring and summer of 2019. In this context, he followed the works of the Political and Security Committee and this allowed him to deepen the multilateral dynamics between the Member States and the passion for security policy. 

The main field of interest for his studies is the African continent with a particular inclination towards Central and Western/Sahelian Africa. He has a great interest in football, Latin American dances, languages and he loves take long walks.
